Uniform work with Front Runners New York

Having a vast history of creative projects, I want to share some of the most impactful with you!

Each piece has a story and a reason it came to be. While Vice President on the Board of Directors, I collaborated with uniform companies and design teams to create these designs and have them fabricated for the team.

Multisport Uniforms:

How does an overwhelmed volunteer committee leader lead to a brand redesign? How did I impact this as a liaison from the Board of Directors? Reach out and I can tell you about it! Here is an example of how I was able to take my leadership and big-picture thought process and have an impact that has led to an over 100% participation increase. This uniform update is also in the Ironman Triclub competition for best Tri-Kit!

Before:

NYC Marathon Singlet:

How do special uniforms impact the look and branding of a social running club? How does a specialty piece remain recognizable in a race with thousands of participants? From the popularity of the Multisport uniforms, I worked to have this piece created which sold over 120 pieces in its initial run and has been purchased by Front Runners internationally.

Misc Uniform Designs:

With many events and needs, I have been able to craft relationships with various uniform companies to support the Front Runners Team.

Hats have become a staple for the club and with this design and some strategic thinking, we were able to get custom embroidery for two specialized events to properly manage budgetary needs and sold over 110 units for the first event.

With the multisport team rebrand, an update to Swimwear was the next project that was able to be completed and sold over 50 units.

When the Pandemic Hit, face coverings were necessary, and I was able to quickly turn around a design for a Buff Scarf and outsource an order for the club.

This year the club did a full rebrand, so I was able to get the Swim Caps updated to be a brighter color - a necessity for open water swimming - and the new logo, in line with the current branding guidelines for the club.

Project Management while at The Container Store

These displays were project managed and executed by myself and my direct reports, with minor adjustments to ensure they would work in our store-specific space. Each display took a detailed plan, staff training, and focus on each detail to ensure proper execution. The overall designs were created by the corporate merchandising team with adjustments that had to be completed in the physical space.

Holiday Shop:

The Holiday shop setup was a 4-week process of detailed planning to place over 3000 skus throughout the store. The challenge was displacing an entire second department for this location which resulted in an additional 700 skus that would need movement and planning. The staffing involved over 500 hours of payroll and impacts 40+ employees.

Gift Wrap Dresses:

The year gift wrap dresses were integrated into the designs, a call was put out throughout the country to have employees design and create dresses made out of a single roll of wrap. My creation was chosen as the focal point, created out of that year’s signature wrap; it was made of folded paper creating a bodice, with fans over a wire frame creating the skirt.

Special Events:

From special events to seasonal campaigns, I project-managed them all. I created plans to move and store products, ensured timelines would maximize efficiency, partnered with corporate teams, managed catering teams, and even worked the door to manage crowds. My years with The Container Store gave me vast amounts of knowledge and experience collaborating to ensure the customers had the best experience possible. Every detail matters when people are attending an event or even walking by a display window. This eye for detail and precision comes with me.
